Dr. Elizabeth McGarvey

Dr. Elizabeth McGarvey is from Portland, Maine. She went to Roger Williams University for her undergraduate degree. She worked in the veterinary field for several years before going back to school and moving to Grenada, West Indies to attend St. George’s University, where she completed her degree in veterinary medicine. Dr. McGarvey has a strong interest in surgery and shelter medicine, as well as pain management and geriatric patient care. During her time in Grenada, she was very passionate about helping to educate the local communities about patient care and enhancing quality of life, including being the President of a local canine rescue.

Dr. McGarvey enjoys living in Maine with her potthound Hunter and beagle Daisy, as well as her three rescue cats, Emma, Stevie and Sampson. In her free time, Dr. McGarvey enjoys spending her time with her animals and exploring Maine. She also enjoys art, traveling and learning about new cultures and cuisines.
