Dr. Antoinette (Toni) O’Hara is originally from Millinocket, Maine. She completed her undergraduate degree at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, and then moved to London, England in 2002 to undertake her veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College. After graduation in 2007, she gained invaluable experience throughout the English countryside with all creatures great and small. In 2013, she returned home to Maine to start a family and practice in the Portland area. Her main interests are in small animal medicine and surgery with an emphasis on pain management and palliative care. Dr. O’Hara also has training in veterinary acupuncture and is happy to offer this service to patients that may need alternative care.
Dr. O’Hara and her husband Laurence enjoy living in Maine with their two sons, Geoffrey age 6 and Oscar age 4. They also have two loving rescue mutts, a terrier mix named Baxter and Chewy, a Brittany Spaniel. Dr. O’Hara’s favorite hobbies are spending time with her family and trail running with her dogs.
