Dr. Allison Stewart grew up in Maine on a large farm that had horses. Dr. Stewart obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Oklahoma State University in 1995. The following year she completed an internship in Equine Surgery and Medicine at Kansas State University. She completed a residency in Large Animal Surgery at Cornell University. In 2000 she became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgery in Large Animal Surgery. While at Cornell University she obtained a Master’s Degree evaluating the use of progenitor cells for cartilage repair. Dr. Stewart lives close to her family in Cumberland Foreside, ME. She enjoys horseback riding, skiing, running, and playing with the family dogs.
